It is possible to study on your own if you have the right book and cd since it's fairly easy on the beginner side, however, it gets harder. I would suggest, however, that you enroll in a course or find a teacher because it's hard to learn all the intonations, enunciations and pronunciations if you don't have a live teacher to teach you the basics.guhazel said:Friends, is it possible to study french on my own? Or would it be very difficult?

Congratulations! I'm so jealous, I still don't have my AOR. Wonder why it's taking this long for me. :'(Preferred said:Just received my AOR (it was dated 15 October 2013).

I actually enrolled in a 40-hour course but was having a difficult time managing my time because of work. I wasn't able to attend around 16 hours. I already bought a book and have Pimsleur French but haven't started on using them yet. I will take your advice and maybe enroll again in a different class once I gain more knowledge from self-studying.raistlin17phil said:It is possible to study on your own if you have the right book and cd since it's fairly easy on the beginner side, however, it gets harder. Thanks. Are you sure your AOR is not in transit ? Most likely when you receive it, you will discover it was already in transit as at today.guhazel said:Congratulations! I'm so jealous, I still don't have my AOR. Wonder why it's taking this long for me. :'(

Thanks Iev. Your posts have been helpful. I watch TV5 now though I wasn't the one you suggested it to . I need to really put some finesse to my speaking (B2) and work hard on the listening (A2).Ievgen said:Congrats buddy,
