PVT VISA TYPE

Hello i am manmeet.. I applied visitor visa online. I got a passport request lettet. I sent my passport to LA VAC. when they receive my package I got an email with my tracking number. In that information they wrote VISA TYPE- PVT. can anybody tell me what is PVT VISA TYPE.

Hi,

Have you got your passport back with the visa stamped?

You can send an email to the LA visa office to get a clarification. It seems to be an error in your case

Generally speaking, PVT visa is a Working Holiday Visa (Permis Vacances Travail, in French)

Ohh actually I confirmed that.. they said it means "private tourist visa".... anyways thank you..!!! Can you tell me one thing is that confirmed I got visa. Because I got passport request letter from cic account. So my passport will get only the sticker on it or any decision is still left?

There's no such thing as a "private tourist visa" for Canada.

In fact, there's no such thing as a visa type "tourist visa" for Canada.... Canada's visa is called a "Temporary Residence Visa"..... the category is V-1 VISITOR

Hello i am Simran I applied visitor visa online. I got a passport request letter I sent my passport to NY VAC. I got an email from them stating my visa type PVT. Can you please tell me you got your visa for ho tw long?? Any idea what it is and I will get the visa for how long??

I am in the same situation, could you please let me know if that is any issue as i applied for a Visitor visa but they mentioned in the email notification as PVT Type. I hope its not a problem.

Here is the explanation of PVT type visa I received from VAC:

"That is the abbreviation used for all those submitting their passports through our office for online visa applications."
