Got an email today saying, ‘We successfully received your document for E……’, but I haven’t sent any document recently. When I checked my GC Key account, I saw that Background Check now shows ‘We are processing your background check…’ instead of ‘Not Applicable’. Also, under Final Decision, there’s today’s date + ‘Your application is in progress…’

No official eCOPR yet, although its number has been available since November, I think.

Medicals passed November 7, 2022
ADR (additional document request) January 10, 2023; replied within a day or two, if I recall correctly; received by IRCC on January 17, 2023
BG verification started January 17, 2023
GU (Background check completed) October 24, 2023
GU (Medicals extended and passed again) October 30, 2023
Portal 1 email (from Montreal; replied the same day) November 3, 2023
Portal 2 email (uploaded my info and photo the same day) November 28, 2023
eCOPR (issued by Montreal VO) January 25, 2024
PR card received (sent by Sydney VO) February 6, 2024

After waiting for one and a half months after Portal 2 email, I wrote to Montreal VO. In the email, I politely reminded them that it had been almost two months and asked for an update on the process and a timeline. I got my eCOPR three days later.

as I know, most of lawyers say that mandamus is effective after 1,5-2 years. maybe you know someone who takes cases earlier than 1, 5 years after Aor.

Bro why did it take that much time? Was it in comprehensive security screening?
