First of all your scenario is pretty vague...

The C-24 bill didn't get approved yesterday... it is allowing X amount of time before being implemented and no one knows exactly when it will be implemented..

every tom, dick and harry is posting a new thread about how they are short 1 month, 2 months before they are eligible to apply.... no one asked the OP to be out of country for 57 days... what is he complaining about now?? Same as people are always complaining about how they got RQ or why their local office is the slowest of the all..

plus the certain period, conditions, and cost is all set by government; they can increase the time, decrease the time, increase the cost, add more restrictions.. NONE OF THEM IS INJUSTICE... Canadians voted for certain government and they are making laws to make Canada a better place for Canadians.... their mission is to make Canada a better and safe place for CANADIANS...

people go to Dubai for better life too.. they don't get anything back.. and the government didn't ask people to leave their nation and come to Canada.. people choose to do.. so yes, there is a risk involved.. but calling it INJUSTICE??? wow..

and ya, this situation wouldn't happen if some immigrants didn't abused the system... sick to know people will marry their siblings to land here... marriage of convenience.. citizenship fraud.. etc.. (NOW THAT WAS INJUSTICE TO CANADIANS)
First of all, I posted this forum just to get guidance from seniors, not to hear from Tom, sick and Barry!

Secondly, nobody ask why they close Buffalo office without any notice or without thinking about the applicants. Will they accept my Citizenship file with 1094 days? Answer will be no.
Then why they took extra time for Buffalo office applicants, while other offices were approving PR :(

By the way I went out of country before that X date. If I knew earlier , why should I go.

Only the person who is actually suffering can understand :(

This govt is by CANADIANS, for CANADIANS. Its not there for PRs, Temp workers.

Yes this OPs fault to be out of Canada for 57 days. He knew all along how can he complain now.

Dubai system is so much better. Canada will be trendsetter and first western nation to adopt muslim country like immigration system. Hopefully in future more laws like sharia laws will follow.

Yes these immigrants people do all kinds of immigration fraud, marriage fraud. Since we cannot catch who exaclty is defrauding the system lets punish others from coming from their country. They all look alike anyways.
Sharia Law? You mean from Islam? They have enough problem with their religion in middle east. I hope we don't EVER have any sharia and religious law ever here in Canada.

First of all, your post is pure example of ungratefulness..

Offices close and open - it's part of normal life.. wouldn't it be unfair to people who applied in the closest office to Buffalo when all the load from Buffalo goes to their local office causing more delays to their applications???

suffering? please explain what are you suffering exactly? you are PR, you can stay in Canada, don't need to apply for LMO or extension etc.. you have same rights as every other Canadian except you can't vote and leave country for longer period of time... you call it suffering?? ask anyone in your native country and they will switch positions with you in a heartbeat and a big smile..

Injustice?? suffering?? wow... either you have never been out in real world or you are just looking for sympathy from others.. there are people who applied for citizenship and waited over 3 to 4 years, but they still don't call it injustice.. it's a part of life and is known as tough luck....

you know people like you are so ungrateful... Canada allowed you to come to the country, allowed you to become PR, gave you all the rights and you call it injustice??? instead of being thankful and appreciate it, that's how you repay to the very country that welcomed you with open arms.... shame on you....

People should be grateful to Canada for the opportunity to new life, as they would be to their employer for giving them employment, as they would be to the bank for giving out house mortgage so that they can live in their own house.

People need to be grateful, but would a person get a employment without qualifying, but would a person get a housing loan without qualifying, would a person get immigration without qualifying. What i mean to say that, NO Canadian immigration is not a total charity program that the recipient of PR status got a charity has to be grateful of the benevolence of the govt (refugees may feel otherwise). The PR-govt relation is of mutual beneficience.

I feel proud of being part of this country and thankful, but sometimes when i see such posts that i or anybody who is a PR here is case of charity is disturbing.

Not sure how "Sharia law" gets into our discussion, but here's my take on this issue: Canada is a LIBERAL DEMOCRACY, and laws are passed by the majority of MPs elected by the Canadians. If this majority for whatever reason decides to pass a law that agrees with the commandments of any religion and doesn't violate the charter of rights, it's their business. People vote for the political party and the candidate that reflect their views which include, among other things, their religious principles. Therefore, in Canada all the laws enforced are CANADIAN LAWS regardless of which secular or religious code they were based on, whether it is the Bible, the Quran, the Shruti, the International Charter of Human Rights, or even Harry Potter's tales, as long as they were passed through the democratic process and don't violate the charter of rights and freedoms. I know some extremists from all sides won't like this idea and will insist on imposing their rules on all Canadians, but this is how things are and how they will always be.
