So I'm applying for my dependents for a TRV and my understanding from the CIC website is that they don't require medical exam since we are not from a designated country that requires medical for longer stay in Canada and we live in the US for the past 2 years, am I getting it correct or still they will require medical as mine?
Thank you.

Yes, you & your dependents do not have to undergo medical exam if your are from country listed under designated country exempted from medical test.

One Clarification!

I received CoPR of mine and my family. For my wife they have mentioned Medical Surveillance Code 2.02, But Visa office didn't provide any form / document to present at Port of Entry.

I have seen / read on this forum that there would be two copies of medical surveillance paper to present at POE i.e. one for immigration officer and one for the immigrant.

Please respond to my query if someone has idea about it.

  • People who require medical surveillance will receive a Medical Surveillance Undertaking form IMM 0535 (which needs to be filled and correctly mention your surveillance code in it and return to POE officer) and a Medical Surveillance Handout that provides instructions and telephone numbers for contacting public health authorities. They must report to a public health authority within 30 days of entering Canada.
  • If already living in Canada, people who require medical surveillance are required to report to a public health authority within 30 days of receiving the medical surveillance handout.
  • Upon entry to Canada, Port of Entry staff will send copies of any IMM 0535 forms to the Medical Surveillance Unit (MSU) so that provincial and territorial health authorities are made aware of the arrival of individuals requiring medical surveillance.

thanks for your response and directing to a handout. its really use full. It states as;

"The public health authority will ask you for information on your “Medical Surveillance Undertaking” form (IMM 0535B). This form was given to you either by the Visa Officer with your other immigration papers, or by the Officer at the port of entry (airport)"

Means we will get the IMM 0535B at port of entry, if its not provided by visa office.

You may hear from CHC in 10-15 days after submitting your medical test reports.

Hello, Guys!

I'm under treatment now. 4 months have already passed.

Recent X-ray is almost clear, sputum test was taken 2 months ago by local medical authority (=2 months after treatment was started) and after 56 days I got report that it is negative!

Meanwhile, I got medical futherance letter requesting "recent report from a TB specialist. Please include dates and details of TB treatment, previous test results, including DST and all previous x-rays.". It was done as requested in time (30 days deadline was specified).

Despite the fact that X-ray is ok and sputum test is negative, in order to comply with World Health Organization standards, I need to continue 2 months treatment, in order to complete full 6 months scheme.

Currently, in eMedical system I've just received a new request - to provide "FORM 160 - Upon completion of TB Treatment". My Panel Physician is not aware about this form and requested eMedical support. I tried to google and found similar form 160 but for Australian eMedical - it's "Radiological report on chest x-ray of an
applicant for an Australian visa". I have few questions please:

1. Who knows what is FORM 160 ?
2. Is it required to make sputum test after 6 months of treatment?
(if yes, the results will come after 56 days, so it's another 2 months to go after completed 6 ones?).

Thank you so much for your answers and good luck!
Best regards,
Sam

The IMM 0535 form “Medical Surveillance Undertaking” would have been sent to you via email when you got the passport submission request. Check the email for attachments.

2 copies of this form will need to be carried at the port of entry.

Cheers,
LazyBoy
