I sent some documents to be translated. As stated in the guidelines all translations must accompanied with a certified copy of the original document and a a notarised affidavit from the translator.

The public notary stapled together:
-Affidavit
-certified copy
-translation

He said they all relate to the same document so they must be together and all certified translation are stapled to their certification. On the other hand, guidelines say no staples.

Also have the same problem with my birth certificate. Where in from, birth certificates are 3 pages stapled together. Taking the staples away would be tampering with them.

Thank you

My translator did the same thing, and I submitted it with staples. The application was not returned.

I can't promise it 100%, but I had the same concerns as you - that removing the staple would be seen as tampering with it.

I had the same situation with my application - some docs were stapled by the notary and I included them as-is, in a smartly organized, tabbed folder. My application was returned - for a missing document and NOT because of the staples.

Curiously, the returned application had been completely stripped of all paper clips, section dividers and staples - it was just a perfectly organized loose stack of papers. I quickly added the missing document and resent the application as they had returned it - no staples or paper clips or tabbed sections. That was early March 2020. Haven't heard a peep back since. Ah covid...

You should be fine.

Hi,
My Certified true copy has statement "Certified true copy of document name " instead of "I certify that this is a true copy of the original document". Will this create an issue? Please help.
