PSW job placement on a open work permit

Hello all,

me and my fiancée came to Canada on my work permit that I have tied to a Canadian company. So she at the moment has an open work permit through me. She enrolled in a PSW program, that according to the head of school, she may do on her visa because is a program shorter than 6 months. The question that arose was if she is allowed to apply for the final exam, receive the certification and work on a facility afterwards with the open work permit. She is confused because one teacher said she might not be allowed to unless she has PR status.

Can anyone give some clarification?

What program is only 6 months?

The program is 7 months so you would need a study permit. I would strongly advise against this school and private colleges in general. I would also recommend an in person program.

I don't see anything mentioning that is 7 months. I was personally at the school and they told me the program is 5 months (3 months theory, 2 months placement). Right now everything is online.
