Hi,
We landed in Canada from Adelaide, Australia on Jan 25th 2018. And as I had to complete some job obligations back in Australia, I went back to Adelaide on Feb 10th 2018, leaving my family in Canada. I had not got my PR card at that time. My PR card was received by my family in Alberta last week. I have completed my work in Adelaide and would like to go back to Canada at the earliest. As I do not have the PR card with me in person, I am thinking to apply for PRTD from Australia. My worry is about the Residency Obligations for the PRTD application.
"
If you have been a permanent resident for less than five (5) years
1) What is meant by "will be able to meet the minimum of ......". Does this mean that I have to show that I have/will get a job in Canada?
2) I have my Alberta Health Card, SIN and Bank Account as well as my COPR paper.
Any other new immigrants had similar issues? Any experiences?
The other options are to:
1) Fedex the PR card to me at Australia : but my wife is scared about the PR card being seized by customs.
2) Find somebody to bring it physically to Australia: But unlike Canada to India or other places, Indians travelling between Canada and Australia will be very few, I think.
Any help/suggestions are appreciated.
thank You,
Sabari

- you must show that you will be able to meet the minimum of 730 days of physical presence in Canada within five (5) years of the date you became a permanent resident.
