Yes but the thing is he got his PR via me with my CEC application, so we applied on September 2021 with him as my dependant and in April 2022 he had his refugee audience approved.

You still remain a protected person. If you hadn’t been approved as a protected person and were only sponsored by your partner to get PR then situation would be very different and you could use your home country passport. Anyone you may be contacting may not realize that you have been approved as a protected person already.
