Hello Qorax,

I have a query. I sent my full documents to my Visa Office(Singapore) at 28th September 2010 and got the 2nd AOR at 4th November 2010. Still then my status is RBVO.

In my initial application, I mentioned that I have a relative (Sister-in-law) in Canada but later at the time of sending documents, I informed that she hadn't got the visa and I am not claiming the Relatives point. Then my Sister-in-law (Spouse's sister) got her visa and went to Canada few months ago. She got her PR card also. What do think is it better to inform the visa office to claiming the Relatives point now? If yes, is there any chance to delay this as they need to inquiry? FYI, I have total 67 points without this relatives point.

hi all
please advise me
my score to immigrate was 66 without my aunt's point....so i decided to get my aunt's documents

required to start immigration.... but i had a problem ??? ???... my aunts was household and live with her

doughter. she couldn't gave me an evidence about her residency (working and T4 or something

like that)... the only thing that she could provide was her bank transaction and a letter which her bank

introduce her as its custumer... i put this document to my file and took a copy for my self....

after sending my apps and getting file number, I reviewed and found out the transaction is lack of her

name or even her accunt number      so i asked again my aunt to send her transaction (

which would be writtten her name on it)to send VISA OFFICE immediately    i am so worried

about it and i don't know that V.O accept this doc or not!!

anybody had have the same experience or not ? please help
:'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

I think she shouldn't apply now as they can fail her in initial assessment test. Better wait for 30 August 2011. Hopefully cap will not be full by that time. Can't she improve score in Ielts?

Thanks a lot.... I think the same...she has 2 scores less in ielts..she is trying..hopefully she will do it....

Correctly suggested/opined by Goodman. U r supposed to 'qualify' on the application date.
Qorax
Thanks captain...yeah..she shud qualify on app. date... prob. is that her last year exams were done in june..she started working in mid of july..but their school certificate says that they are releived from school in august nd actually they were releived officialy in august.....nd usually u are not supposed to work till u are attending school full time... so, she is confused..if she produces her exp. from july..it can be questionable...

Spondon,

you can claim your relative's point at any stage of the application before getting a rejection/approval.
This is what the rule says. send the relationship papers to VO asap. explain with a cover letter.

nazafrin,

sent you a pm. if your aunt is not taking government's help to live her life there then there is no problem. the VO will check the financial strength of the person who bears all the expenses of your aunt. read my pm. you must send

thanx jnathan
but recently, visa office just reviewed apps and don't ask u to sent supportive docs as usually wants before... in new rule, they just reviewe and if they don't convince enough, they will reject file( as many of my freinds were rejected by VO with an explanation that " officer didn't convince that your relatively is a residency of canada"!!! that's it :'( :'( :'(
it is my reason to be worry that ??? ??? :( :(
moreover I just sent my aunt's bank transaction not her doughter.... and didn't say about her coundition( i mean my aunt) as i wrote in this forum:( :( :( any have suggestion? :) :)

Proof of Relatives in Canada

We r aware that we can get Five [5] additional points on a/c of "adaptability" if having "relatives" in Canada. But, many a times, while having a 'bonafide' relative residing here, we yet shortcut the paperwork [for whatever reasons] - and get into trouble... either those 5 points r not awarded, or we go into delays due to repeated queries from the VO. Here's what we should understand & do:

Who r the Acceptable Relatives?
Proof of relationship showing u, or your accompanying spouse/common-law partner has a close relative who lives in Canada and is a Canadian Citizen or PR. This close relative can be:
• parent, grandparent,
• child, grandchild,
• brother, sister,
• aunt, uncle, or
• niece, nephew.

Proof of "Relationship"
Having one of the above, we now must submit adequate docs to "show" the 'proof of relative' if we want to seriously get those points, which might sometimes 'make' or 'break' our case. This "Proof" is required in Three (3) Steps. Here's how u go about it:

1. BASIC EVIDENCE OF RELATIONSHIP:
Proof of relationship to your close relative in Canada can be evident by docs, such as (A)birth, (B)marriage or (C)adoption certificates. For eg, to prove that your relative in Canada is your paternal aunt, it would be necessary to submit copies of birth certificates for her and for your father showing they have at least one common parent.

2. WHAT DOCUMENTS NEEDED AS PROOF?
• If s/he is a PR: provide a copy of Record of Landing (IMM 1000) or CPR [COPR] or PR Card.
• If s/he is a Citizen: provide Citizenship proof, such as a copy of Canadian passport or Citizenship card.

3. HOW TO PROVE RELATIVE IS 'CURRENTLY INSIDE' CANADA?
Provide evidence to show that your relative is currently residing inside Canada. This may include copies of:
• Lease agreements [Rental Contracts],
• A current Notice of Assessment from Revenue Canada,
• An Employer's Letter confirming employment,
• Monthly Utility Bills [Telephone, Mobile, Cable, Gas etc.].

Note:
- The evidence should show the relative's "name" and "full address" in Canada.
- Source:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/English/immigrate/skilled/factor-adaptability.asp

I hope that helped.

Qorax
Ps: U can show the High School Certificate in lieu of Birth Certificate [usually the 10th Grade diploma].
Great work Leader, as usual!

nazafarin,

my VO asked me to provide my the same papers as your VO had told you.
I donno about 2011, in 2010 my VO had asked me to provide 3 rounds of additional documents and every time I met my VO's demands. now the ball is on VO'r court, they might call for a QA interview.

good luck to you.
