Thanks Gary...it's really helpful information to every one.Gary Goldshmidt said:In order to provide proof of medical insurance you have to purchase a policy from a Canadian Insurance Company. Once the policy is paid for and issued you simply need to print it and include it with your super visa application. The policy will state the name of the insured which would be your parent or grandparent, the insurance amount which would be a minimum of $100,000 and the duration of coverage which would be one year. It will also contain a policy number and state the effective date of the policy. Any policy purchased from a Canadian Insurance company with the above criteria would be proof of medical insurance for the super visa. I will caution you Insurance Companies are getting tough due to the amount of policies being purchased and cancelled after the Super Visa gets approved, some are requisting proof of the super visa being refused, others are increasing their administration fees. One of the issues is people can buy insurance then cancell their policy and try to use the cancelled policy to enter Canada as if they where insured, this would consitute immigration fraud. I have had a number of people who call me to buy a policy without any intention of using it within a 12 month period, I advise them to use an online broker and call me back when they actualy need insurance. Canada is a great Country with caring and polite people but we are not stupid Insurance Companies are not in the business of losing money and do inform immigration once the policy is terminated. All the Insurance Companies I spoke to consulted with immigration in order to design and/or ammend their policies to meet the super visa requirements.
I can provide you with a list of companies that operate in Canada that would meet the super visa requirements as a broker I deal with five of them. If you need any assistance to purchase insurance you can contact me direnctly.
Hi Gary... I applied super visa for my parents but then they decide they will stay only for 6 months. In the request letter they asked for 1 year. Do I need to get for 1 year or just need to buy for 6 months?Gary Goldshmidt said:In order to provide proof of medical insurance you have to purchase a policy from a Canadian Insurance Company.
