Proof of Means of Financial Support for Study Permit

I'll be applying for Study Permit soon. I wanted to know if showing Fixed Deposits as a means of proof of financial support, is it mandatory that the maturity date of these FDs must be before the program start date?

No its not mandatory. Fixed deposit is that amount which you can liquidate any time. So its normal.
