Hi, I have a little complicated situation. I was working in Canada when I have send my FSW application for PR and I had bank statement from BMO that I have $12000 CAD. Unfortunately company where I have worked was not able to secure LMIA for me and I am about to leave Canada soon. In the mean time I have received AOR but also to late to do the bridging of WP.
Now, what I would like to do is to withdraw money from BMO and bring it home and put it in my bank account at home since there is uncertainty that I will receive PR (like everyone else there is no 100% guaranty) and I don't want to go back to Canada to close my account. I want to close my account right now and not to wait until the PR decision is made because if it is negative, it would require one more trip to Canada and back. Is it ok to do that and send new POF to visa office?
Please advise, I really don't know what to do.

Hi Rumel,

Actually it depends on case or application. If they feel the need to check your statement they will ask for it or else they will not ask. My advice is to do not take any chance, have some money in your account till your MR request. I was also worried and I had no money in my bank and Then I didn't got any request for bank statement. Just RPRF, Work Experience and Police clearance and Passport Photocopy.

and if you don't have money, don't worry too much. Pretend that they are not gone ask for bank statement

Well, decision is yours dear and you can have valid reason for withdrawing fund's from your account like you can withdraw money from Canadian bank and submit in another bank. With this you can sow to them if they demand prior to medical and there would be no harm to your file.

All the best!!!!!

I had to use a quarter of my proof of funds to buy a second hand car for working purpose. I can dispose of it if required, you think they will understand?

@ rumel - thanks, I am glad I assisted

and @ JYB, if they request bank statement you have to show you statement for the past 6 months starting from the date of their request so in this case when they request and you sell your car and send your statement this will not have good impression on them. You need to keep flowing (do transactions) money in your account to show them that yes you have money. If the car is not that much required and you can manage your work then dispose of it now and keep the money in your account. If you are Federal skill worker then there is alot of chance that they are gone ask for bank statement

In case, the money in the bank was deposited five days before submission to CIC. Would they still require
submission of additional documents if they could see that the money is still intact?

You can always describe it but along with car documents in your name, which you may sell as and when required (it covers - readily available funds)

As of I know PPR is PassPort Request..

then what is PPR1 and PPR2? :(

PPR1 = Scan copy of Passport which we have to send via mail
PPR2 = Hard Copy request

Is it?

Yeah and PPR2 means that they are gone issue you visa and PPR1 and 2 are for those applicants whose application is being processed in some another Visa office rather than his home Visa office such as London visa office and when they want to issue visa they will ask you to submit you passport to Islamabad Visa office.

Can Anyone clarify as if settlement funds - I am planning to lad first, followed by my family after couple of months. Do I need to carry funds for all OR do my family need to carry their share along with them, when they arrive?
