Ps.: If u have a bank a/c here - u could wire any amount from anywhere (in the world) to it. No holds barred. If u don't have an a/c - a draft is ur only way, unless u want to deposit it into someone else's a/c & w/draw from it later.

Thanks for your reply.I wish I had an account there, life would have been easier.I'd go for draft, but there a risk to it coz last I got the draft for the application and they took the money 3 days before handing me the draft :/ (Dollar East)
Qorax are you Arabic? Just curious....

1. I can't seem to fathom that [wouldn't know the rules of ur location though], 'coz I fetch drafts always - and get it 'on-the-spot'.
2. Nope. Though my spouse is !

Dear Qorax,

I'm living in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. 3 years back, I applied for canada Immigration. for the proof of funds at that time, I submitted bank statement along with National Bonds (www.nationalbonds.ae).

Recently we got the medical documents for our family, however in the meantime we are blessed with another daughter. We submitted her documents to CHC and now waiting for her medical.

I prefer not to keep cash in bank. Whenever I got some cash, I buy National bonds either in my name or my wife's name or my daughter's name. Now I've approx CAD 15K worth of bonds.

I'm not planning to encash these. Once we got visa, can I show these national bonds, as proof of funds at the time of landing. These national bonds can be redeemed very easly within 1 day or two.
Also as we have addition in our family member, do they ask for proof of funds again or no?
Thanks for helping all of us
God Bless You

Dear Master Qorax

I was asked to submit the updated POF with the medicals

2 months r over since i deposited all...but no decesion yet... i wonder if it may be because of POF

1. I submitted original surrender value certificate of insurance cover of about 3 lacs indian Rs (approx 6000 can doller) and Statement of Provident funds for about 5 lacs Rs (approx 9000 can doller) besides bank statement for about 8 lacs (16000 can dollers) indian Rs for the 4 family members.

2. will my surrender value certificate of insurance cover will be consirder hard cash or not by the Visa officer...

3. My statement of Provident funds is about 1 year old as we are issued one in every year by the government thats in september....

will any about points effect my POF statement...or it will be fine

Thanks in anticipation

Thanks for your reply...

What do you mean by "EQUIVALENCE FIGURE".

We are family of 5. I should have $23,348/= which is in AED 85,000. I've National Bonds worth of 70,000/=

As our medicals are done. If they ask us again for POF, can I show them these national bonds or should I encash few and keep cash with me in Bank?

Also at time to landing, my major saving is in National Bonds. Should I carry all bonds with me or keep half half?

Thanks once again

Hi Qorax!!!
What's the validity of form B4? Suppose I declare stuff and get it after like say 2 years?Or get it liquidated instead of any precious metal. What will be the proof of this transformation?
Take care and thanks for being there.
