Of-n-on we have noticed that some BSOs might not ask to see our POFs, ditto our B4s. However, the fact remains that it's part of the POE examination, which is described in the manual ENF-4. What if? And we do not have it!

Ps.: Set aside the regulatory requirement, it's wise that we carry much more, as much as possible. We r immigrating - to another part of the world - a capitalist one that too - living is expensive here - and for many months we'd remain jobless - even when we do get employed, the i/c would be marginal, which'd want us dipping into our brought in funds - how do we manage if the pocket gets empty? Think about it - u have mouths to feed, not just urs!

I received my passports back with PR visa yesterday and now my preparations are in full swing as i intend to land in 2nd or 3rd week in june in toronto.
One question reg. landing funds is still bothering me . I request you to let me know whether I am right or wrong in planning the following :
I intend to take Demand Draft in my name in canadian dollor and payable at Toronto from Thomas Cook for the 80% of the amount and remaining 20 % cash in canadian dollor. On landing , i intend to open account with RBC or Scotia bank and deposit my DD in my account.
Pls. guide me if the above course of action is correct or I could do something better....
Regards.

I will be applying to the federal through the Quebec program and only sent proof of finances to the Quebec authorities (well all they ask for is a signed letter stating that you have enough funds). As far as I understand there is no need to send POF with the permanent residency application to the federal government.
Yes, u r required to demonstrate ur settlement funds. Pls read here:bluecougar26 said:Anyone
Usually that Cert. is a must. However, pls write candidly about it's loss to ur IO and request it's submission waiver... Sometimes, a nice IO might agree.khushi_rv said:Dear qorax,
