I would suggest to make it joint and take the certificate. It will take a day and much safer. Try to keep your application as simple as possible. All the best

In my case I am the PA but the funds are available in my spouse's account and I am using a notarized affidavit to use them as POF in my application. However, can someone please confirm if this sample is good enough for the said purpose.

My situation is bit different, I had shown POF as of my account and a letter of Provident fund from office. All these things were fine in May 2017, then one of my relative need some money and I transferred around 5Lakhs (Around 5800 CAD$) to him in July 2017. Now in October 2017 when my application accepted for province I take back that amount and there is a transaction of 5Lakhs (Around 5800 CAD$) in 2 days of 24th and 25th October 2017. Now I am planning to take statement of May 2017 to current which will be more than 6 months and write an LOE about all this.

Will that create any issue?

Please suggests!

Thanks,

1. If your spouse is coming with you, you can count money you have together in a joint account.
2. You may be able to count money in an account under their name only, but you must prove you have access to the money.
3. If you are invited to apply, you must give written proof that you have this money.

Above statement is from CIC: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/become-candidate/eligibility/proof-funds.html

Some people in this forum are saying that we can use a "No Objection Certificate".
Can we use this NOC as proof of access to spouse's money?
Can anyone who have already got their passport request/landed/passed this ordeal please confirm?

Hi @Piyushagr21,

I really need some help in this POF thing.

I’ve dependents ( a wife & a kid) but I’m applying as a single applicant. So I’ve to show enough funds for dependent’s even when they’re not coming with me also? I’m completely lost in this confusion and any help would be that I’d be grateful

Thanks,
Vignesh

Yes, you need to show Proof of funds for ALL your dependants, irrespective of whether they are accompanying you or not.

Hi guys,

In my case, my wife is the PA, and we got ITA under CEC. We are planning to put her Employment letter+her chequing account letters+her credit card accounts letter. We thought we should put everything under my name as well(We have a car loan under my name) but there is no place to upload a document for proof of funds on my section. Is that mean we shouldn't put anything related to me?

Thanks for your response in advance, have a great day all.

Only the principal applicant needs to show proof of funds.
