Hi everyone.
I need your help.
I am a 3rd-year phd student in Canada and my husband has a job here in Canada for two years on his open work permit visa.
We have rented an apartment and are living in it for two years, we both have income, and we have a financed car.
My husband and I got our ITA last week. I am the primary applicant.
Do we still need to have at least CAD 16,135 in our bank accounts to show as proof of funds?

True. However, my husband has a valid job offer and I'm the primary applicant. Does it work?
I'm not too sure about your case. If you are still in school, I would think it would be best to have your husband as the primary applicant as he has valid job offer. But that's only my opinion. Sorry :-(
