My wife is a foreigner where we live now, and we were keeping our savings in her account in her country. But because the banking system is not much trusted there, we had decided to keep our savings there, at her sister's home as dollar.
In our immigration application, I am the main applicant. But because of the situation above, our funds are not registered anywhere.
I am confused about the questions below.
1) As my wife is not main applicant, do we need to show her bank account as the proof of funds, or do I just need a gift deed from her?
2) If a gift deed is enough, we will not need any proof like a bank account statement on her side?
3) If we still need to prove the funds, is there any other way to do it except putting the money in a bank?
