Hello,

For expats, is a bank statement from home country acceptable as proof of funds for TRV application?

Thank you.

Hi PMM, could u please help me

So I just received my PGWP and it is valid from 2013/06/25 to 2016/06/25.However, my TRV got expired on 2012/09/30 and I am going to India next week. Therefore, I could obtain another TRV there.

I checked the IMM 5484 checklist for the new TRV. So how much money should I show as proof of financial support and do I need any additional documents such as email mentioning that I am applying for jobs or a letter stating why I am visiting and Why would I like to go back to Canada.

My travelling history is pretty strong as I go to India every year since I came to Canada in year 2009. Is it a good idea to apply TRV there?? beacuse here in canada it takes long time than my country

1. Show $3-4K minimum, no you don't need any about your job search. The PGWP is the reason in its self why you wish to return.
2. You really don't have choice, since you won't be in Canada to apply for a TRV.
