Hi, I am in a Little pickle. I have about $9000 in my account and my dad paid $2000 into my account for school fees through a third party which I paid to the school, unfortunately I didn't end up going again and the fees was deposited back into my account.

Now I will be receiving $3500 from my dad as a gift to make up for my POF(I will be providing gift deed and affidavit) Now my question is, do I explain the $2000 that was deposited back Into my account (it would be difficult since it didn't come directly from my dad's account but through a third party). Is there any point explaining it because without the money I still meet the minimum POF requirement.

Another thing, can I just transfer the money to my brother's account to sit there until my PR application is complete since I can't explain it?

As you don't need those $2000 for POF, this would suffice. No explanation required.

Hi, does the proof of funds only need to be shown for the basic amount that they have mentioned for the number of people OR we also need to show that there are funds to pay the CIC fees over and above that amount?

If I gift my wife funds after she obtains ITA, would those be counted?

If you have a valid job offer or if you are eligible under CEC you do not need to provide POF.

Equal to or more than required amount. Keep a small buffer, IRCC typically revises POF requirements around mid Jan.

Yes. But you wouldn't need to do that, IRCC does accept spouse's funds.

work in canada. Does that mean if u are not

If you do not yet have a WP, you'll be required to showcase POF unless you were invited under CEC.

Upload a letter stating you don't have to provide POF as you were invited under CEC.
