I have a query in relation to proof of funds - I just want to make sure that my understanding is correct.
If you lack a job offer, you are required to show the appropriate amount of unencumbered funds, which for me will be $15,143. It is my understanding that you need to be able to demonstrate this on the day when you are issued an ITA.
My confusion stems from the talk about IRCC requiring 6 months bank statements. Am I right in thinking that they only ask for 6 months bank statements to prove that you've not taken out a loan or similar? The reason that I ask is that I am saving towards that total and I want to make sure that if I get an ITA when I reach the required amount that I won't later be rejected as during the previous 6 months I was still saving and was below the required amount.
So my question in a nutshell - Do you need to show that the required funds are there for 6 months prior to getting the ITA, or is it OK as long as you have the funds on the day of the ITA? I'm also aware that you will need the funds when you enter Canada too, that won't be a problem, it's just that I don't want to accept an ITA and get rejected for financial reasons.
