Proof of Funds confusion for applying Visitor Visa for wife after AOR

Hi,

I'm trying to apply visitor visa for my wife after the AOR as per the IRCC update from May, 2023(higher probability of Visa Approval for spouses).

My wife is currently employed (she has been for the last two years). She will have all the required documents(job letter, pay stubs etc from her employer). But as I am sponsoring her, I will be paying for her tickets and will be the one supporting her.

For proof of funds, her bank statement won't be able to show enough money. But I have the money in my bank account (about $6-7000) but I'm thinking that it won't matter as that money will show up under my bank account statement and not hers which defeats the purpose.

Is there any way around this? Can I send her the money like a gift deed under her name, which she can use as proof of funds? Or can she get a gift deed from anyone other than me to use as proof of funds? As I understand, the Gifts Deeds are a valid proof of funds, atleast for the PR applications.

Also, am I correct in assuming that including my employment letter, paystubs and bank statements won't matter much, for her application, as she's the main applicant. Should I include my bank account statement anyways?

I'm confused as to how I can show Proof of funds for her application. Please help if someone has any idea about this.

Thanks.

A large infusion of cash will not make a big difference because it will be clear that it is your funds. If you send your spouse funds it will weaken your position as the person sponsoring their spouse. There is no specific income requirement but you need to show that you can support your family without government financial support.

Would apply including all your information. It is not the primary thing considered but will be considered especially because you are spouses. As additional information you can indicate that you will be purchasing her plane ticket and although funds are divided you both consider the money in both your accounts shared assets. You will be helping to support her financially and with the costs associated with visiting Canada followed by apply for sponsorship. The one issue couple can encounter is if they are newly married and they have not spent much time in person there can be questions about the validity of the relationship. There is no consistent rules on when this is an issue and when this is overlooked. I would suggest applying as is and seeing if your spouse is approved. Given her current application she has a high chance of approval so no need to to worry until you actually get a refusal

Okay. Thanks. So we should apply for TRV as is, without making a gift deed in her name.
Hi there, please did you end you using a gift deed for your spouse TRV application?
I'm in the same situation as yourself, I have a spouse sponsorship application in progress and I want to apply for a TRV for my spouse
