Proof of fund

Dear All,

My wife is the main applicant. however, the bank account is on my name only. can i use it as aproof of fund?

i heared som where that i can use it. however, i'm not able to find any official information regarding the same. Please advise?

You can show them as proof of funds as she will the part of application as well.

Thank you for your update. this is what i heard unofficially. however, i just need to find any piece of official information that can make me feel more relaxed .

This is what I found in a document op06c-eng.pdf during a search which says,

Pursuant to R77, the requirements and criteria set forth in R76 must be met at the time the application is made, as well as when the permanent resident visa is issued. If the applicant is unable to demonstrate that they have sufficient funds available to meet the requirements, the officer should refuse the application and proceed to section 14.2.

Here one can understand that "they" is referred to as all applicants to be included in the application. Except for this clause, no other supporting evidence is sought.
