Proof of Employment/ Work Records

Hi,

I submitted my citizenship application in March, 2014 and it's already IP, but I didn't realize that I had to provide my "proof of employment/work records", so I didn't submit any work records with my application. Has anyone had the same situation? I was just wondering what will happen and if there's anything I should do?

CIC started to ask for record of employment since May,2014 ; when the change the forms , at your time work records are not mandatory,you should be ok

Are they asking for record of employment now? I don't see anything on the guide or on the docs checklist.

On the corresponding question of the application form, the instruction states to include work/education records. Take a look at the form -- it's not in the guide, is it?

I have two questions so I can complete my application

1.Is T4 good enough for employment record?

2. 6.F work and education history,, I do have a gap between the time I graduated and the time O found a job, so application stated you have to say why? Well because I was looking for a job!!!! How should I say it and where should I write it?

2- Include it under " work and education history.

Yes T4s are good and talk to your current HR. They will write you a letter that will show your start date. Thats what I am going to do.

You could also provide your play stubs.

what about pre-pr work outside canada . Should I prove this work also ( The work history must cover 4 years and I landed 3 years a go)

I called CIC to inquire what is the process to update the application. they told me that I will have to wait until they pick my application and send it back.

Does anybody have an idea/recommendation what i can do?

It's hard to send any documents right now as your application is not even in process so they will not know what to do with your work supporting docs. Give them another call and ask them for advice -- you could perhaps mail them separately with your client ID on a cover letter (or write sth on the envelope) -- ask them what to do. Otherwise, you'll have to wait and see if they;ll return it or if they'll just forgo that fact and proceed until your interview...

What if I am on patental leave, because the e.i people do not give any pay slips, what kind of proof can I include that I was not working but was on parental leave , never left country after landing, I do receive my e.i payments through direct deposit , can I send those bank statements showing payments , thanks alot ,

You should provide what they are requesting. They want 4 years. So, if you have only 3 years in canada you should provide the outside canada as your 4th year.

Hello,

I am preparing my citizenship application that I will submit around the mid of July , I have the following inquires regard filling the form :

1) Section 6.E : Addresses in the past 4 years. During the past four years I lived in Jordan and Saudi Arabia where NO postal codes are used there. and the CIC asked to include all postal codes in Canada and abroad.Should I leave it empty for the abroad addresses.

Also, during the 4 years I reside many times in hotels (right after landing ). Should I include these addresses.

2)Section 6.F : Education & Work History . During the last 4 years (right before lading) I worked as an engineering in Saudi Arabia , I do not have any employment / experience letter from my employer there,Also I tried to contact the company and the refused to provide me with any letters or documents (this is common with companies in Saudi Arabia ). The CIC ask to provide employment evidences for each job/company I worked for during the last for years . Does any one have any recommendation ?
I am not sure! Weather or not I should ignore any work records pre-landing but during the last four years.
Will CIC return the application?
Have read any bulletin or manual shows any clarifications ?

Same as here, mine is already in process, CIC has not send my application back yet. It looks like we can't do anything about it right now...just wait...
