Hello, as I am waiting for my extension to be accepted,(which has taken MUCH longer then expected) me and my partner are signing on to a lease to get proof as common law. I am allowed to do this while on implied status correct? Also to add, how can I start gathering the information like how long I will have been on the lease? Thank you

That's exactly what happened to me. I applied for an extension and it took over 2 months to get an answer (my 1 year request was approved last month). I'm not sure though about your questions, just wanted to say it's normal that it's taking so long

My question more so being, is it ok to sign a rental agreement on Implied Status while I wait? Also, how would I go about prooving in the future, that I have lived with her for a year? Also just to add, it has been since early march I have been waiting for my online application :(

You shouldn't have any problems signing a rental agreement. As far as proving in the future that you have lived there, one way to prove that is bills addressed to your address in you & your husband/partner's name? Mail from CRA? Benefit statements? Bank statements? Lease agreement photocopy? Lots of ways to show it. Good luck!
