Hi. I guess things are moving slow, given the current global health crisis. Have you tried sending a web form message? Was the response useful?
I sent my application in late April 2020 from Ontario. Haven't received any correspondence yet and I did not send it via traceable means so I'm not sure when (or if) it was received. I sent a web form and they said it is not in their system yet. Hoping to receive soon. Anyone else have a similar timeline?
Hey there. I am not within Canada, but I got a very similar timeline; the High Commission sent the application to Canada in November 2019, it was received at CPC-Sydney in February 2020 and the AOR sent to me on the 7th December 2020. Similar to you, when I sent web form requests, they responded by saying the application is not available in the system yet. It might be that things are moving slow, owing to the global health crisis.

Sent June-2020, no movement yet, we will have to just hold on, from within canada.

- We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on March 3, 2020.
- We started processing your application on January 6, 2021.
I applied for proof of Citizenship for my child from outside Canada in Sept 2019.
No emails. No confirmation yet.
I called the IRCC and they did not find my application. Embassy keeps telling me for the past 2 months that they are working on it!

I received an email back saying all my documents have been received and are awaiting processing. Delays to processing times due to coronavirus. So I'll just have to wait. Hopefully, judging by the timelines some others are posting, there may be some movement soon.
Interestingly, through web forms, the IRCC tells me my application is in process and all documents have been received, yet on eCAS, my application is still on the "Application Received" state.

I applied for my kids and wife, and forms sent early/mid April 2020. Nothing.
We sent my mother-in-law's application at the same time with a different receipt number - nothing. Sent in a new application with the updated forms in October 2020 for urgent processing as we were crossing the border in a month - nothing.
So we're sitting tight for now hoping for the best.

If you haven't heard back and applied in similar time like me, maybe wait until April. Covid is really slowing down everything, and many staffs are working from home. This isn't good news for citizenship applications as they're all paper applications I think and cannot be worked digitally and remotely.

This is great news for you at least you know your son proof of citizenship application didn't get lost
Applications are uploaded to the GCMS system at the time of AOR. If staff are working from home, they would very likely have access to this system (via VPN that IRCC provides to their employees) IMO.This is my son's timeline.
Called the embassy in Nov 2020, they told me to wait until Apr 2021, if nothing, call again.
