eCAS says it could take up to four months after it was mailed, so I guess when they say “mailed” it was not actually mailed.I still have not received my Canadian Citizenship Certificate. I'm trying to verify that it was actually mailed on March 19, 2020.
I believe the 4 month time frame is when the Certificate is mailed to a Canadian Embassy. I live in NYC vicinity and mail from Sydney is usually less than 8 business days.eCAS says it could take up to four months after it was mailed, so I guess when they say “mailed” it was not actually mailed.
Within 12 weeks time frame in extreme situations like the Covid 19 pandemic...my kids certificates was mailed out October 8th 2019 to Lagos Nigeria and we received it October 30th 2019..so you are still within the time frame be patient it will soon arrive as soon as the lock down is relaxed by next week.I believe the 4 month time frame is when the Certificate is mailed to a Canadian Embassy. They might return original documents, but not copies. That's why they ask you to send copies instead of originals. From what I've read IRCC returns the documents originally sent to them, copies of birth certificates and copies of your Passport. The thought of this kind of information delivered to a wrong address??
Thanks Hawk, that's good to know! They might return original documents, but not copies. That's why they ask you to send copies instead of originals.
At least they're responding.I got a result from my enquiry yesterday.
