Prohibitions and Back Ground still in process - Travel Overseas for a period

A quick two questions:

22 March got update to mark all completed except Prohibitions and Back-Ground ? usually they should complete at the same time? How long it takes for these two to complete application submitted in August 2023

Can i leave overseas after submitting my citizenship application for work? Do i have to return every particular period?

Please advice

It's not uncommon to see the rest complete while prohibitions and BG are still in progress. I know someone in the exact same situation.
How long it takes is anyone's guess...
Also, yeah, you can leave Canada during the processing (granted you respect the PR residency requirement, which should be a given for at least some time), but be ready to come back on short notice, or to come back and provide IRCC with proof that you did before being scheduled for oath for example.

Well, sometimes IRCC asks applicants they know left the country to show a proof they're back in Canada before they schedule them for an oath ceremony. Some people in the forum have been in this situation and reported it.
Just something to keep in mind if going overseas is going to be for an extended period.
