Proff of Funds- Bank Statement

For a single applicant the funds requirement is CD10833.
When a CHC calls for docs list along with bank statement. For what time period the bank statement should be provided.For example if applicant has required funds balance in his account for the month of May-09 and has withdrwan funds on 01-06-09. Then whether the bank statement for May,09 would serve the purpose or otherwise. Expetrs are requested to reply.

The topic is discussed in this forum. CIC want 12 months statement. However, one applicant replied he provided 3 months statement. Actually CIC want to confirm that the money is yours and it not borrowed.

May i know what about your application status ?

I never heard that the CIC office requires 12 months bank statement. Actually, the CIC office asked for bank certificate indentifying how much money you have at the moment. Borrwoing money and other issues are outside their control. How they know that you borrow money or you sold your car or house to provide the sufficient funds required from you.

There is no doubt that you are logically right. But you will agree that more the duration of bank statement more it is safe and convincing to the CIC. As borrowing money is outside their control they want bank statement of 12 months to confirm that the money is yours. The reality is we do not know actually what CIC will accept or reject. They may accept a simple bank statement or they may ask again.

If any one of this forum asked for bank statement, pls. discuss.

I am not sending a bank statement as my finances are in a hedge fund so will be sending the a statement showing the value of it which is transferable.
