Processing Time- MISSISSAUGA OUTLAND?

Hi,

I applied outland Paris VO but my application got retained at the Mississauga office. Any idea what the outland processing times are like at that location? Or WHY they would hold it there and not send it along? THANKS!

From reading various groups, if your file stays in Mississauga, then this is a good sign as they are very fast .

Some people say that they keep the straight forward cases in Mississauga.

if your application is staying in mississauga, the average seems to be 3-4 months. of course, there's no knowing if the backlog of SA processing will affect these files as well. as the other poster mentioned, the files that get processed in mississauga are seen as "non-complicated" and seem to be fast tracked. I would also recommend finding the Paris applicant thread to see what others actually experience with mississauga processing.

I think straight forward cases from visa exempt countries stay in Mississauga.

I haven't heard of applicants from non visa exempt countries where the application stays in Canada.

Maybe the more experienced members can confirm

this seems accurate based on what's reported on here. it seems to be mostly UK, Australia, New Zealand, and some Japanese.

Envious of the friends on this forum who got their application processed so quickly in Mississauga!

Mine was sent to Ottawa. I had requested it going to Hong Kong VO for processing (I have both Hong Kong and British nationality). From reading about another applicant who went via Hong Kong, his whole application process took 5 months. It would appear if mine had been sent to Hong Kong, it would have been processed by now... sigh... :'(

I sent an application in Aug and it got retained in Mississauga. I'm still waiting to hear something from them. I'm from the UK and my VO would have been London.

You will probably hear something soon... I just talked to the VO and they said mine was in the "final stages" and I applied in Sept...

Was that just the CIC call center you called? I am hoping to hear something soon. Good luck, hopefully you hear something soon too.
