Hi All,
Just saw this on IRCC site could it be a correct information?

Global Skills Strategy work permit
Last updated: March 24, 2021

We’re still accepting new applications. We’re working at full capacity to process new GSS-eligible work permit applications.
We’re currently finalizing most applications we received between

September 20 and 26, 2020 ?

If your application is complex, it may take us longer to process it.

I think its correct but there is a bit context to it. There is one example in this thread itself who applied on Nov 23 from USA and got approval on Jan 8. If u click on the question mark next to the dates, they say that they processed 80% of applications from these dates in the last 8 weeks. This might have to do with bio-metrics from India opening up after Jan 20th and hence older applications being processed after that. Hopefully we should start seeing this date catching up faster from now.

My spouse (open work permit) and I (Work Permit- LMIA Exempt) received our passport requests. There was no passport request for my 2 sons visitor visa application. We submitted our application as one. Any idea if this is normal or what next to do?

Below is my timeline:

Submitted: June 7th, 2021
Upfront Medical: June 7th, 2021
Biometrics: June 8th, 2021
MEP: June 29, 2021
PPR (Me and spouse only): June 29, 2021

Any reference to similar case would be appreciated as well.

Not unusual, I know of a friend's case. His family received separate requests though he was the primary applicant. Where did you apply from ?

I applied from Nigeria.

My spouse and I received separate request but same day. How many days apart before your friend's dependent request arrived?
