I am October applicant and requested to submit the passport last week. Thank you for the support of all forum members especially @yoge. I pray all of you to have the quick process.
October 24 application received by the CIC
AOR February 13
Biometric requested February 22
Medical requested April 16
Medical passed May 1st
Pre arrival service letter October 1st
Decision made October 5th
PPR October 7th

After you submitted your PCCs what does you addition documents status say? They asked me for my PCCs back in March and ever since i sent them the documents my status said "we are reviewing your additional documents...." only couple of weeks ago it changed to "we have received your additional documents " and I got my biometrics collection request. This process is so mentally draining and confusing lol. Hope you hear something back soon.

It’s really frustrating but have you tried sending them a webform enquiry requesting more info about your status?

Yes I did but they didn’t reply. Our MP said their still on my background checking. That’s what I want to know how long they’ll take for background checking?

last year they are refuse our application and we appeal against visa officer decision and won this year
so why again they are re assessment and how long its took
this is very irritating procedure

- The application was received at the Case Processing Centre in Mississauga (CPC-M), Ontario, on July 24, 2019.
- The responsible office is currently reviewing the application and documents submitted to determine if the sponsored person (the applicant) meets the eligibility requirements.
- the assessment for the applicant is still in process at the Canadian visa office in Colombo.
- The medical examination results are on file and valid until August 11, 2020, for the applicant.
- The criminality verifications are currently valid.
- The security verifications have not been initiated.

That is way too long eh. 25 days to the 1 year mark? Should get the MP involved and send them an enquiry. It's hard to even guess how they operate because everyone have different timelines even with similar applications.
