Hi Guys, Small clarification. My spouse is sponsoring me under spousal visa. currently I have recived an email saying my file has been transferred to Sri Lanka. My question is, is it possible to apply for visitor visa to Canad while my spouse visa is pending? As my sister in law is getting married in August, I need to be there for her wedding. Will there be any complications on my PR application or decision will be delayed due to this? Any chance of getting rejected?

You can apply for a visit visa as it will not delay or impact your sponsorship application by any means. There are high chances of rejection but try to provide a lot of evidence of strong ties to your home country to convince the reviewing officer that you indeed intend to go back and wait for your PR application to be approved. Chances of approval are slim but there are a few success stories on this forum as well and perhaps you can seek help and advice in the TRV forum.
