Processing time for spousal visa - Sri Lanka

I applied july/2015 and start processing on September !

I have submitted my application ro sponsor my wife on April 27, 2016. Got Aor in May 20, 2016. File was transferred to Sri Lanka in June 2016. And since then, both sponsor and applicant sides are showing in process when I log in. My wife hasnt received any AoR2 or any application number. I'm only able to use my UCI and apllication number from Aor1 to see updates. Is this normal for her not to get a letter? And also what method will the colombo visa office use to contact her? We only provides her phone numver and address but no email for her as she doesnt have one. Would that be okay?

Hey if you are the sponsor u will get the aor frm canada if you are approved then the file gets sent to vo colombo anf with using application and uci number you can check and it will tell you when they started processing in colombo.. It os normal for her to not get any letter of aor... But if they request additional info they might be senting it in mail so dont worry... seriously! processing time for some countries are more than that for srilanka, but they get it quicker!

Thanks Rainbow21 and Vijay for sending me emails when i was unable to link my account. Just linked my account two days back and great thanks to vijay for helping me.

I just sent an email to the colombo VO on friday informing the ecash is not updated about the additional documents i sent on March 2016. and asked about the updates hope i get a reply next week.

No worries...we all here to help each others....great and i would suggest you to order one notes and see which part you stand exactly on your appication.

Hi luci, np... my link application under additional documents in blank even though we submitted beginning of march and even on the site my application doesnt mention that we submitted the additional documents.. I think most cases they dont update that..

I too think that the "my acc or linking our application" is not helping us a lot... i saw many member are not getting any real time update on this forum....and my application shows different status between notes and linked application....notes says some accurate details where we stand on our application.

Hey vijay is ur wife in sri lanka now visiting you? If so hope you get good news soon and you cn return with her.. So yes my link status says background check in process.. It means criminal and security but I am wondering how long it will appr. Take to complete..

Hi faa nobody seems to write here anymore.. I guess they all r fed up..

thats true everybody seems fed up...everyday expecting an update or ppr but ending as usual with nothing for months... even some of us waiting for years......hmm somebody please say " i have Got passport request" and give us some hope also show us CIC in colombo is still active
