Hey vijay is ur wife in sri lanka now visiting you? If so hope you get good news soon and you cn return with her.. So yes my link status says background check in process.. It means criminal and security but I am wondering how long it will appr. Take to complete..

thats true everybody seems fed up...everyday expecting an update or ppr but ending as usual with nothing for months... even some of us waiting for years......hmm somebody please say " i have Got passport request" and give us some hope also show us CIC in colombo is still active

well I applied not too long ago
app-in may 2016
approval- in july 2016
file transfer/in process -july 2016

I haven't heard anything from embassy but just wondering why they need those pages. they have requested from few of my friends before issuing visa

Please don't get excited..........Colombo office asked this documents Feb 01, 2016 and nothing happened since then.

Immigration wants to see if you change the last name after the wedding.

Ohhh well I never changed my last name it's still under my dads name.. same they asked my documents in feb 2016 as well suthatheone did u check ur link application does urs also say in process for background check..

Yes. it says process for background check!! i got my GCMS and & spoke to the local MP (Brampton ON)..... All say samthing

my eligibility passed........Medical passed & expired........ background check in progress!!!

So that means for sure your wife will get ppr soon.. Cuz I heard background check takes time... Does the link application say eligibility passed or when mp called they informed eligibility passed

And if you dont see any red flags in your gcms I think you shdnt be worrying .. Its just that they r slow in doing everything..
