no updates shakthi my hus sent the email to VO colombo today! they didn't reply yet. I hope sometime they may reply.

I don't think they would work on weekends my dear. Because I know here in Canada the embassy is closed on weekends, and Srilanka Canadian Embassy follows Canadian holidays.

Thank you for your cheers, I hope it works that way, its not in our hands. I say that because after handing the additional papers requested they have not updated the file that they received it as yet. So they could be having a lot of work load. But lets hope for the best. I am waiting for my spouse to come here to Canada and join me, and I think we all have the same dreams.

Im sponsoring my wife. I applied on feb 12 2013 and on nov 17 she got an email that said:

"This refers to your application for admission to Canada. An officer has determined your application is ready for final decision."

and requested her to submit her passport. Does this mean her visa is approved?????

Thanks guys. No interview but she did her 2nd medical about 2 weeks back. How long will it take for them to issue visa do you think?

Most probably, they will ask for the passport in the morning and return u in the evening.

It takes about 3 days. You have to submit at the VFS agency, not at the embassy. From this year all the passport handling is done through the agency. You can take picture also at the agency. My wife got it in 3 days. You will have the option to either pickup the passport or they can courier it to you.
