Processing time for spousal visa - Sri Lanka

Did anyone get an update? my PR -tracker hows up as Eligibility in Progress, Medical and Biometrics completed. Background not started. We require additional documents to process. I am getting worried now. I applied June 2022 outland.

Hi all,
I need some clarification.

On the IRCC portal the review of medical results is updated stating _ December 9, 2022:You passed the medical exam. However, on the PR tracker, the medical exam is still in progress. Does that mean they haven't updated the information PR tracker or is it still incomplete?


Any clarification would help.

has you spouse passed their background checks? Sponsor approval? This seems to be very fast processing for Sri Lanka. Maybe you are confusing sponsor approval which comes after medical and sponsorship approval which is at the very end and after background checks have been completed.

As I suspected. You still have the majority of the sponsorship to complete. Looks like you are at sponsor approval not sponsorship approval which will be followed by background checks. Majority of sponsorships take around a year if not more in some locations.

Hello everyone. Has anybody here applied for a visit visa for their spouse while the PR sponsorship application is in process? Would like to know your thoughts and how effective it is. Thanks in advance

Hit or miss. Will likely be harder due to the current situation in Sri Lanka. No harm in trying.

AOR: 5th March 2022
Received an AK to confirm I have passed sponsorship eligibility: on 24th March 2022 and the documents were sent to the VO in Sri Lanka.
Received another AK from the VO in Sri Lanka: 13th April 2022
Did not require biometrics as it was done in 2019.
Medical Request: 4th May
Medical updated to passed: 16th of May

Eligibility and Background on the IRCC website says "In process" but on the new tracker profile it says "Not started"

It has been months and I have not received an update

The last ghost update was 26th of Oct 2022.

Is anyone in the same boat here?

Background usually takes months. Can be 6+ months with no contact.

My medical was completed on July 22 but I did not received anything after that.I think they are taking around 2 month to 5 month for PPR after medical

PPR isn’t after medical unless you are doing a second medical.

The last update I got was on Sep 8th 2022 saying my medical is completed. Waiting since then.

Yes, in my opinion, PR- Tracker is not up to date.

Yes dear I believe the same. I submitted my Husband's application on the 15th of November. I got the Biometrics, and the SA on the 27th of January. I am now waiting for the Medical Request. The SA letter said the Application will be forwarded to the VO in Colombo for further processing, but I have not heard from the Colombo VO yet. Do they usually send a letter confirming that they have received the application?

Good to hear! But I never received a confirmation from the VO Colombo.
