Do they usually ask for additional documents before Pre-arrival? I was confused about that too. I was not sure why they sent Pre-arrival. I thought it meant that we passed eligibility.

Pre arrival. A result of successful eligibility assessment. Additional docs may be for background verification.

Yes. They asked us additional documents very next day after they sending Meds request letter to my wife. I never heard from anyone that they were asked additional documents after Pre arrival letter. As I know all got COPR or passport request letter after pre arrival letter. Your case is different.

My wife got visa on March 16 and arrived in Canada on April 3rd. Yes you may travel to Canada if you have any commercial flights available. But make sure you inform the officials at srilankan air port or at any other transit points that Canada has allowed to arrive “Approved Permanent residence” and also be ready to show them the press release on IRCC website because some of the officials are not well informed so they will make you wait since you don’t have PR card. But once you arrive in Canada, process will be simple, you will be asked to quarantine 14 days in your own place. You would get PR card after 2-3 months.

travel restriction for normal PR applicant not for spouse, common law partner, child, parents, grand parents are exemption from travel restriction. so dont worry you can fly to canada.

Important Note for everyone : Aramex only accepting the passport for courier, other company dont accept the parcel, even govt post office.

Passport Submitted on 31st july by aramex courier, they received on next day.
7th Aug 2020 Gckey status updated We are done application process. everything approved. now we are waiting for the passport. maybe it will be come on Tuesday or Wednesday.
