New job is keeping me busy T7. Working on 5 different time zones across north america is not the best way to go. But I am enjoying it very much. I get to work from home half the time although I haven't started that yet. But soon i will be doing so.

Ahh I know it's hard T7, but you know, we gotta keep going right? I'm going to watch "Bad Teacher" at the movies tomorrow.. My friends are literally dragging me out for it, but I think I will enjoy it

how is the wife holding up btw?? Awww, you know I'm always here, watching although not responding. Sometimes, I just don't have much to say so I keep quiet.. But I have been checking the thread once a day to see if anyone has any good news..

i dont know when its more than 6 month now its expired ..... caips thing wich pakage we have to select ?

Mel... came out of Parkdale 5 years ago. Sorry I don't know the neighborhood. I know u guys are getting a new Tim's by Queen and Jameson. I come there once in a while and I saw a lot of changes so I may not be great at suggesting places. I know there is a Indian restaurant besides Scotia Bank...did you check it out?

Wow...5 different time zones?? That must be interesting adapting different habits. Well under certain circumstances, it's always good to keep urself busy. How are things with ur hubby? Is he coming to visit u? Hope everything goes well on ur side and let's all hope for the best. My wife is pretty good, she came to Colombo last week, they told her it's in process and that they will call her for the visa. They also gave her a new file number Bxxxxxxx and they told her bring that number next time. They told her this, but on ECAS there are no updates. So I don't know what to believe. I believe they lacking to update the system/ECAS. So yee. That's pretty much it from my end.

As u know my police clearace expired last month, my lawer told me to give them valid one. He told they wouldn't give visa without valid pc and med. Could u check wit ur lawer about pc?

T7 - Yes it is good to be busy under this circumstances.. it helps a lot! we have no news on hubby's visitor visa. Yeah.. Colombo is horrid when it comes to updating, but i'm sure you will get some good news soon!

Watnxt - Sorry dude, you live too far away to call up and say "hey, i have some extra food, i'd like to share it with you " but thank you for wishing!

Blue - go for the CAIPS Premium because that comes with a full translation on the codes... I knows its costly, but at least you know whats really going on with the file.


Guys - My husband's medicals expire on Thursday. We have no hope of getting the PR at this point since it's literally 4 days away. I do hope he gets the visitor visa at least. my tummy goes into a terrible knot everything i think about the process being extended.. but oh well.. we will know for sure by Tuesday on the process. So we might as well wait and see what happens.

July 1st is Canada Day, I hope chc-colombo give us good news this week. So Mel, you still have 2 days left for med expires.

That's true Watnxt, atleast they do that for us. Deliver goods news prior to Canada Day. That way, we can celebrate it with our spouse's. Lol. Will the hope come true? let's wait and see.

I think we have 3 days.... CHC-colombo may close Thur for canada day as we get extra day off when we have holiday on weekends.

But the 1st is a Friday which means that they will get Friday off and no additional day right? The embassy although is closed on Friday to the public, it still operates on that day.. so 4 days!!1

I thought they are off every friday. So they are closed for public but they do some other stuff inside? Then offcourse they will be open for thursday.
Mel, did you get chance to find out ans for my ques? I asked about police clearance...
