processing time for resubmitted applications (mississauga)

I am the sponsor (Canadian) and i am sponsoring my husband who is in india currently. I sent application Oct. 12 to Mississauga. Then on Nov. 6 i received a letter from the immigration officer in Mississauga saying Additional Family info form was not signed my husband. Hesend the entire application back minus the money on Nov.6. He gave us an evelope for my husband's visa pics too and stapled my husbband's proof of medical to the application for pr. He gave us our client ID number and kit number. And asked that the application be addressedto him..he included a self addressed sticker to put on the envelope with his name on it and the mississauga address. I also noticed that the officer had completed allof his sections on myapplication. A couple weeks later my husband sent me theform back signed and i resubmitted my application. Then Canada post messed up and said they lost it or its late being delivered. It didnt reach Mississauga on Dec. 7. Then 1 week later status on CAnada post website finally said it was delivered (on Dec.14). My question is since he asked application b sent to his name, that he completed his boxes on the application, etc... is it fair to say that he will look at it again sooner than the initial 37 day wait? I amnot sure if i trust canada post who said they got it in the end...mississauga doesnt tell u this info only tells u when they finished processing. Does anyone else have a similar case? I check ecas but nothin has been updated so i think the officer hasnt looked at it yet..since receiving it on Dec. 14. As soon as i hear word that it has been processed and approved and sent to Delhi, im planning to go to india for a trip. Another Question..after it goes to Delhi will i b contacted about anything.

oh no for me ..good for you patiently waiting. Its been 5 (not counting sat n sun) days since i resubmitted my applic since canada post says they got it. Ive heard nothing frm them. Thats nice in 24hrs they looked at yours. Im just afraid they didnt receive it even tho canada post is saying they did...just that they were supposed to get it on dec 7..i paid express post 1 day delivery n they got it as per cqanada post late..7 days late. im praying they did get it on dec.14th. i keep checking ecas

Can i ask u patiently waiting How did u find it out..how do u kno it was 24 hrs...1 day after submitting it, it showed on ecas that it was being processed or it saide decision made. Poor me i dont see anything on ecas and like i said i resubmitted it on 14th.

Hi Missinghim, I was asked to sign a document which we missed and I had a letter sent to me showing the date the day I returned them to Mississauga saying that my documents had been received and have now been sent to London. I wish you all the best and fingers crossed for you! xx

I dont trust canada post saying they lost the they said week later they found it n it was delivered.
Hope its correct. That n i want to go visit my spouse in india who im sponsoring. As soon as it is approved n sent to Delhi i will make plans for our kids n i to go. Will they contact me for anything do u think after?

Found out today sponsorship applic was sent abroad. What a relief they rec'd it n processed it quicker n we didnt have to start frm day 1.

Thank u! Good luck to u! Its a relief that its gone overseas now (as of today)...But its not over yet!!!!! But every step is a relief. Frm the time it was rec'd in Mississauga to it being processed to it now gone to embassy.Do u know if i (the sponsor) or hubby will hear frm new delhi stating they rec;d it? Do embassy's send correspondence of this sort..even stating they r starting to process it??

Unfortunately, I couldn't tell you! Some embassies tell you others don't. My app is through London UK and they don't, I didn't know anything until it went to In Process on ECAS. Do you have the tracker? It will save you from checking all the time because it will send you an automatic email. Let me know and I will find the link for you!

Click on the link and enter your info and about a day later you should get an email saying it is up and running. Good Luck and let me know how you get on!
