PROCESSING TIME FOR RESTORATION OF STATUS/WORK PERMIT

Thanks God I just got an email that my work permit already released. June 28- apply online restoration + work permit July 27-transfer file Oct-16- work permit and restoration released. Goodluck to all of You guys..

they said....usually processing time 4-5 months..somtimes 6 depends on you requirements if some need to be review. but lucky if 3 months.

Hi guys,,

The Decision has been made for me that i need to do restoration status on 28 of August 2013:
I called the officer and they gave me this information over the phone:
The reason that my application refused because
1- My passport (I didn't provide clear soft copy online)
2- I need to update my information:

Until now i didn't received the offical letter,,

Please answer my questions.
How long takes to received the letter of restoration? or the letter from CIC in general.
it's been now since 28 August no thing in the mail box?

Can i apply before i receive the letter?
Can i apply for restoration and leave canada , they will keep proccising my application?
Can i go to the Canada service agency border and do the restoration and get my post graduate work permit (My visa is still valid)

please answer ASAP

why is i need of restoration for the application?...it is advantage than...regular ?

@ Frank232 , Restoration is when you mess up or the system messes up by not submitting your extension application on time. application. If you are able to put in the extension application in time, no need for restoration.

Definitely a disadvantage over the regular application. Long wait periods.

@Marvinon : ~5 months. Online. My case might have been delayed due to the strike. I guess yours should be much quicker given that the strike is now over.

Hi Everyone,

I have been reading your updates for a while. I am also in the same situation as you. I have applied for the restoration of my study permit on August 9th. I was told that my application was sent to the restoration dep. on Sep 5th and I should wait until Dec 26th I hope that all of us hear good news very soon.
