PROCESSING TIME FOR RESTORATION OF STATUS/WORK PERMIT

I got my restoration on August. You do not need to hire anyone to file restoration for you. I got mine refused and I called the call agent amd explained to them and got the case re-open. Finally, got it done by myself!!! woo hoo

When you ask them to reopen in how many days they gave you a decision?

I got a refusal letter in the morning and the stupid part is I ask them for bridging work permit and the reason they gave me for refusal that you are not eligible for open work permit I called agent and told him that I didn't ask for open work permit he said we cant do anything we do not process application . Is this means that we have to accept every decisions of yours even if its not fair and he said YES.

Sorry to hear that Tushky When I got refuse on my restoration I phone them again and they re-open my file but mine is due to technical issue though. To be safe contact DM in your area to help you out with unfair decision. Also, you can find a lawyer to help you out too. I did consult to some immigration lawyer too. The agent told me when the decision made does not mean you have to leave Canada Right away....you still have some time.....Hope you good luck on your case Tushky...How come you did not get your BOWP?? You do not have AOR number???

Can I ask what is bridging work permit? Is that an employer specific work permit (closed wp)?
Did you let your employer to pay the employer compliance fee ($230) again after you got first work permit refusal.
Someone say that CIC will return the $230 after they refused your work permit application.
Before you reapply your work permit restoration, your employer have to pay $230 again??

Recieved two blank updates in oct and november. Haven't heard anything yet.

Processing time of WP is reached to 4 SEP . Getting worried why it is getting delayed for me ?

I got restoration 20 December 2015 and yesterday got that my work permit refused and need another restoration within 90 days.

How did you get to know that you got restoration and then your workpermit got rejected. ?

I mailed my application at the end of July and they received it on Aug 4th.
I got my work permit in mail today and it is approved Dec 20, 2015

Me too.
I applied on August 11 and only received one blank update on oct.
I called CIC just now, they seems very free today, I didn't wait and speak to an agent.
The agent said my application is under secondary review, just wait for their decision.
Hope we have good luck!
