Hello dear forum members,

I am currently on a PGWP and I applied for this permit with my old passport including the expiry date 17 February 2014.
My PGWP has the same expiry date as my passport, but the PGWP should have the date of 9 March. This is a difference of approx. 3 weeks.

Currently I am waiting for my new passport which I will receive within 3 weeks, but I want to apply for a renewal of my PGWP (until 9 March) in order to have more time to apply for a LMO. I need to apply for a LMO 90 days in advance of expiring to avoid the recruitment efforts.

The problem is that I wont receive my new PGWP before 9 December. Is it possible for apply for LMO without the renewed PGWP?

Thanks in advance! :)

I just found something related to LMO

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/work/apply-who-permit.asp

The cic website states that people who are common-law partners of certain foreign students who are studying full-time.
Me and my girlfriend are common law and she is studying and will graduate end of April 2014.

Is it possible to first extend my work permit without LMO and after April with LMO (without the recruiting efforts of course).

Help is very appreciated, because I don't want to leave Canada...

You'll probably get a better response on the temporary or student forums
