Processing time Bangalore - 2 weeks and still waiting

Hey, it's good to know that visa applications submitted around March 25th have been processed..... ie Bangalore consulate.

Yes, Blue Dart delivers couriers on Saturdays.... your aunt will probably get her passport anytime after noon until 6pm IST tomorrow depending on where she lives.... fingers crossed

Do you know how long it takes to stamp the passport after submission?

We submitted the passport on April 16th after receiving the request on April 14th...According to VFS the passport is in bangalore for processing.

Your dad is based in Chennai.... so his passport will go to the Bangalore Consulate for stamping.... normally, it takes a week or even less.... however, with current processing times being on the higher side, it may take a couple of days extra

I cannot believe they can take more than 7 working days to stamp the passport. I imagined an online app will be processed quickly. Obviously, that is not the case.

Pls let me know as and when you receive the passport.

Thank you for replying. It is kind of frustrating with the delay just for stamping. We had imagined processing might take max of 3 weeks.. But with the current progress wonder how much longer.

Same day processed at Banglore visa office
Passport couriered through canada visa centre on April 29, 2015
Passport dispatched on April 30, 2015
Passport received with visa stamp till expiry date on April 30, 2015

We had applied for my wife's visit visa on the 12th of March and are still waiting to hear back; the processing time listed on the site it 8-10 days and are wondering if anyone else has been or is waiting to hear back.

Any help is appreciated.

My parents' visa application got approved today with visa valid until passport expiry. Here's the timeline:

Applied in-person at VFS Office: 23 April 2015,
Application forwarded to Bangalore visa office.
Received passports with visa stamped (thro' blue dart): 05 May 2015.

Going by most of the previous posts, it looks like the processing times for on-line visitor visa applications are longer than in-person applications, at least for the Bangalore visa office. Other members can correct me if I am wrong. Just thought of posting the timeline so that if my assessment is true, then people who're about to apply can choose the in-person option over applying online. FYI.
