Exactly what it says...they are reviewing your application and will contact you when the need arises. Employment check is also possible at this stage. The only thing you can do is to wait for them to contact you.

It depends on what stage the application is. In case in the initial stages then yes, but if it at a later stage maybe not. Do you have experience , as i too am have heard of review and then processing and not processing review. I feel decision is going to be taken.
