Hii everyone!I hope that would be that way My relatiion and my life can not resist 25 months...we need a life Im feel desperate Im living between Venezuela and USA payiing 1500 flight tickets,pay monthly rent I wanna get a job in my country saving money and having a life! but with my hubby...Its not fare to deal with so long proccess due burocracy and lack of employee its NOT FARE.

Q chevereeeeeeeeee estabamos cerca lastima q no supe yo he vivido entre Venezuela y Bufalo desde 2009 basicamente...Bueno cuando vuelva podemos compartir algo...
Yo estoy muy nerviosa ya q a todo el mundo cuando su aplicacion ha llegado a su pais han recibido notificacion y yo nada ni por email,post,actualizacion de la pagina nada no se si efectivamente mi aplicacion esta siendo procesada...En CIC me dicen q ya mi aplicacion no esta en Canada..q debo contectar a mi pais cuando hablo en venezuela me dicen q no me pueden dar la info.

Realmente estoy super estresada hasta me he enfermado.Tengo mucha fe y esta pagina me ha ayudado pero es dificil mantenerme fuerte..

hi all! i'm new here and have a question...first of all, i'm canadian and my husband is colombian, i was approved to sponsor in early december 2011, we received a letter from the Bogota office in early april 2012 to say they received our application, by the middle of may 2012 we received another letter asking to get a new medical and one expired police check, they also asked for us to send my husband's passport. is this a good sign???? how long does it usually take after the passport (and other documents) are sent??? we are still waiting for the police check to arrive so we can submit everything, fingers crossed it will be here soon! i need my hubby in canada! any feedback is helpful! thanks guys!

Maybe someone could answer a question about the medicals and police checks. We didn't send these in with the application, as we were told by 2 different DMP's in Colombia that they wouldn't do an immigration medical until we receive an order from the Visa Office in Bogota....what have other people done? Did you send your medicals and police checks in with the initial application or did you wait until it was requested from Bogota?

it's fine if you didn't send them, after you receive your AOR from bogota they will send you another letter asking you to send any missing documents on a checklist, your medical and police checks will be marked. i would suggest getting the police checks in order as they take some time usually, the medical, if getting it done in Colombia, will take less than a week to complete so wait to do that until you're asked.

Hi Everyone!

I'm sponsoring my Ecuadorian Wife, we sent our application off in October 2011. AOR was emailed Nov 4th and I received the sponsorship approval letter on Jan 12th 2012 which indicated that the file was forwarded to Bogota.

E-CAS show's application received Nov 4th 2011 (when Mississauga got the file)and that Medical results have also been received. (We did the medical before mailing the application off) and then 2 weeks ago my wife's address was updated but other than that we've had no movement on the file. We haven't received any acknowledgment from Bogota that the file was received nor have we had a request to pay the system service fee. Hopefully something is going on with it but I'd like to know when our 17 months started.

Some apps seem to get processed pretty fast in Bogota, and others very slow. Not sure why. I've seen on some other sites people getting AOR's from Bogota within 3-4 months of sponsorship approval, and others much longer, so there doesn't seen to be any particular pattern they are following. Hopefully it doesn't take the full 16 months!

I submitted our application for my husband who is ecuadorian in August 2011 and received confirmation of my sponsorship approval in November 2011. Ecas says his application started processing March 1, 2012. I have not heard anything since. We also submitted his medical with the application, but ecas doesnt say that his medical is received. We have a 15 month old son, and being apart is very difficult. I overstayed my visa in Ecuador and now cannot return for 9 months, and my husband is not able to come to canada until his immigration goes through (if it goes through). I am essentially being forced to be a single mother. It is unreal how disorganized the whole process seems to be with the Bogota office. I have my fingers crossed that we hear something soon. As for now I check ecas daily....

LOOKS LIKE THE EMBASSY IS PRETTY GOOD WITH THE DATES AS THE LETTER WE GOT IN OCTOBER STATED THAT IT WOULD TAKE APPROX 10 MONTHS SINCE THE DATE OF THE LETTER (OCTOBER). DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW LONG IT WOULD TAKE TO HEAR BACK NOW AFTER SENDING THE PASSPORT? SEEMS LIKE WE'RE ALMOST AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL BUT YOU NEVER KNOW WITH IMMIGRATION, DONT WANT TO GET MY HOPES UP JUST YET!

I sponsored my wife who is from Ecuador in Dec 2011. We received a letter requesting her passport and landing fee on Aug 14, 2012. My wife sent her passport immediately on Aug 15, 2012 to Bogota and as of today Oct 1, 2012 we are still waiting for her passport.
