Process/Problems of sending passports to India from USA to Canada Visa Office

Thanks for the information. Some family member will have to bring it back to US once it is returned.
As you mentioned, I need to give an authorization letter to the person carrying. Do you what should I say in this letter? Also, the person carrying my passorts has to be a blood relative or can anyone carry with authorization letter?

Can you please update what did you finally do to get your canadian PR visa?
Did you travel back to India (or sent your passport via a relative) to submit your passport to NVDO, or did NDVO allow you to get your stamping done from within USA or Canada for your circumstances?
How long it took to get this sorted out.. timeline pls...

An update will be really appreciated as I might get into same tricky situation shortly..
