Hi guys,

I just want to know what the complete process is. I just received the ready for visa email from CPC Ottawa. Once I send my passport, what happens? Can someone please outline step-by-step how the process goes from here? I feel a little confused.. So can someone please help me understand inclusive of the landing process, pr card, sin etc.. I live in Canada at the moment already and I am on a bridge open work permit right now..

Please help! Any help is appreciated!!

Thanks so much guys!!

Congrats.

You sent your passport. They will stamp a single-entrance visa on your passport, and print 2 Confirmation of PR to you.
Once you receive all the documents, bring them and go to do landing.
That's it.

Don't worry, as he mentioned above, CIC will send you the instruction.

After you receive your passport back with the COPR,

1 - you will need to "land" - that means exiting and re-entering Canada (by air or land); as you are already in Canada, you can also try to make an appointment to land at an inland visa office. Your COPR will have an expiry date - you have to land before that date.

2 - The tricky part is, after landing, you have to wait to receive your PR card. While waiting, travel outside of Canada (well, actually, it's the returning to Canada part) is difficult, as you will have no document to prove your status in Canada.
