Hi All,

My passport was sent to Canadian Consulate on May 30th. My flight to Canada is on Tuesday, June 3rd. Does anybody think I will have my passport ready to be picked up from VAC LA office on June 3rd? I have already sent couple of emails to la-info@csc-cvac.com requesting them to handle my case ASAP but I have not heard from them as of yet.

Thanks,
Amar

Thanks for your reply. Does anybody know if it will help if I visit VAC office in LA on Tuesday where we can pick up our passport and request them to help me out? Can we visit Canadian Consulate directly and see if they can help me there?

Thanks,
Amar

Extremely unlikely the processing time in LA is 35 days. You are not going to get a TRV. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/temp/visitors.asp#west

Hi All,

I just found state of my application changed to "Passport in Transit to Visa Office". Does this mean, visa has been stamped on my passport and now it is now in transit to VAC office?

Thanks,
Amar

it mean VAC has dispatched the passport to consulate for stamping.

Thanks,

Hi Everyone,

This is a urgent matter for me. I need to be in Toronto, Canada by Thursday morning to do a presentation on-behalf of my company. I have reserved my flight tickets for Wednesday, June 4th around 7pm PST. I am planning to visit LA consulate office in person on Tuesday morning around 8am. If consulate people don't allow me then I will go to VAC office in person.

Can anybody please advise me if this will help or should I try any other approach to ensure I get my passport with visa by Wednesday, June 4th? Again, my status in VAC site was updated to "Passport in Transit to the Visa Office" on Saturday, May 31st.

Thanks,
Amar

All the best , and keep us posted.BTW the are open from 8.30 to 4.30
As i informed there is no walk in consulting with the LA consulate , and regarding visiting VAC they simply say we have couriered ur pp , the consulate has to send it.all we can do is stay relax and fingers crossed.
anyways do your part and all the best :)

The only thing you can do is to email the LA consulate directly, and include something like "urgent" in the title, and hope that they actually process it quickly.
VAC has no influence on what the consulate does to your passport; they just increase the processing time by a few days. Their service is the most useless thing I have seen in visa application.
