Hi guys I’m from Philippines. I have concerns for my visitor visa that I’m applying for since feb 2,2024. I got an email for the Procedural fairness letter because of misrepresentation about my recent visa application that was being rejected and didn’t tell them in my current visa application that I was rejected. I sent them my supporting documents around March 23,2024 for an apology of lying. Is there anybody here who has an idea when will I be or how long should I wait for the result?
Thanks so much in advance

There's no fixed timeline. You could hear back within a few weeks or it could take many many months.

Do you mean that when you applied for the spousal sponsorship, you had not yet received the refusal for the visitor visa?

If so, I would have a native English speaker review your response to the PFL and make sure it is clear - your post above is not. If it's not, put a specific timeline and respond via webform with a new one. Timeline should state: applied for visa on [date], applied for spousal sponsorship on [date], received refusal for trv on [date]. This one should clarify that this is just to make clear that you were not aware of the refusal when you applied for the spousal sponsorship.

If you were aware of the refusal when you applied, ignore this and just wait for the response.

Is it the case that you applied for a temporary resident visa (TRV) in January 2024, it was denied on January 30, 2024, and 3 days later you applied again, not admitting to the January refusal? I ask because, elsewhere you wrote:

I’ve sent my application last January for a visitor visa and sad to say on January 30th my visa was refused because of my not enough documents. My husband (Canadian citizen) told me to apply again and this time sending enough documents. I sent it around February 2 and my arrival date should be March 1. I’ve tracked down my application however my background verification still says” on process “ it’s been a month tho. My biometrics and eligibility says completed.
In the above message, you said "my arrival date should be March 1." What does that mean? You planned to be in Canada March 1? You expected a TRV decision by March 1, or...?

Also, @armoured has referred to "when you applied for the spousal sponsorship". I somehow missed the fact that there's a sponsorship/permanent residence application involved in all of this (I assume that's what the "spousal sponsorship" refers to).

Further, I am wondering just what you said in your response to PFL when you refer to "an apology of lying". Does that mean you admitted to lying about recent TRV denial and offered an apology? That would be different, I think. We read here every day about people not admitting to past refusals, always saying "I forgot", which, in most cases means "I lied". But not many admit it. Maybe you should be forgiven on that ground alone.

Given my limited understanding to the whole story here, for now I'll agree with @armoured's suggestion: "ignore this and just wait for the response." Anything else might just muddy the waters.

That's indeed my fault, I simply responded on basis that this is family sponsorship forum, assuming it was a spousal sponsorship. For all the reasons you lay out, my post can now be safely ignored. ))
